Portrait of Her Majesty The Queen

In September 2009 I was commissioned by Cunard to paint an official portrait of
The Queen for the new Queen Elizabeth liner which was named by
Her Majesty on 11 October 2010 in Southampton.
The portrait shows The Queen in the Yellow Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace.
The Queen granted me three sittings for the portrait which shows her dressed in blue
wearing Queen Victoria's diamond collet necklace and earrings,
also worn at her Coronation in 1953.
The portrait was unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery on 20 September 2010 during a private press launch.
Please note the portrait is not on view at the National Portrait Gallery as it is
on display in the Grand Lobby of the new liner Queen Elizabeth.
